A little background on this retreat...

This past fall, grassroots extraordinaire Free Spirit organized a Grassroots Retreat in Kansas City. I attended and it was fabulous. This Upstate NY Retreat is inspired by the KC Retreat.

There is now a website for this and other upcoming retreats here: http://www.grassrootsretreats.org/

LOL Liane.

Remember that month off Dean promised us?

Jess, I really wish I could come. Maybe to Rich's. That's not too far from either WV *or* NYC, lol!

puddle, Rich has asked if anyone wants to carpool up from VA. You should email him.

I attended the KC retreat. It was great having open-ended conversation about grassroots activism in a small group.

I've hung out with others to have such conversations before, but it was lot more fun and affirming in a retreat setting!

"Remember that month off Dean promised us?"

Yeah... Where did that month go?

Posted by: Liane Allen | Jan 16, 2006 8:36:57 PM

Jess, that's not the problem, lol! I'm moving that week (at least a partial move)(time + $). Otherwise, I'd really love to.

Yeah, puddle, you need to come join us!

But puddle, that's the theme of the retreat!

Maybe we need an advance coarse to get people to the retreat. LOL.

but it was lot more fun and affirming in a retreat setting!

I agree. There's something valuable in basically shutting out the rest of the world for a couple days.

It must be coming the month after he's elected POTUS...in 2012 or 2016...

Kiddles, one does not make a move like this often in one's lifetime: I ain't gonna crowd it. Especially not since Howard's responsible for it, lol!

ok puddle, we won't force you to come up to Upstate NY the weekend you're moving ;-)

Do try to make it to one of the other retreats though. You'll be glad you did.

Posted by: Jessica | Jan 16, 2006 8:53:41 PM

Are you gonna make it to Manassas?

Posted by: puddle | Jan 16, 2006 8:59:22 PM

What's Manassas?

Posted by: Jessica | Jan 16, 2006 9:03:11 PM

That's near Rich. I could be wrong, but that's where I think of his as being.

Sorry about that! I thought I'd posted this last night, but found, this morning, that I'd only previewed it, lol!

Actually, Algonkian Park is in Sterling, VA on the Potomac.
